🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Aviation Data Analyst on our Flight Operations Performance Dashboard team, you will play a crucial role in driving business decisions through data-driven insights. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to design, develop, and maintain data visualizations and analytical tools that support flight operations performance improvement. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Analytics, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on Delta's operations and contribute to the airline's continued success.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and maintain complex data visualizations and dashboards to provide actionable insights to flight operations teams.

Design and implement data models and data warehousing solutions to support business intelligence needs.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize data visualization projects.

Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement in flight operations performance.

Develop and maintain SQL scripts and data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data.

Ensure data quality, accuracy, and security in all data visualizations and analysis.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and visualization.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of experience in data analytics, data visualization, or a related field.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.

Expert-level proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.

Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.

Experience with cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Certification in data analytics or a related field (e.g., Certified Data Analyst, Certified Analytics Professional).

Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling.

Familiarity with data governance and data quality principles.
