🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist on our Enterprise Retail team, you will play a critical role in architecting and deploying cloud infrastructure solutions that enable Michaels to deliver a seamless customer experience. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Cloud Services, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based systems. Your expertise will drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance our customers' online shopping experience.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to develop and maintain a cloud-first strategy that aligns with Michaels' business objectives.

* Design, build, and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

* Work closely with the Cloud Services team to implement DevOps practices, automate testing and deployment, and optimize cloud resources.

* Partner with the IT Operations team to develop and implement monitoring, logging, and analytics tools that provide real-time visibility into cloud infrastructure performance.

* Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation guides.

* Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for cloud infrastructure and applications.

* Collaborate with the Security team to ensure cloud infrastructure and applications comply with Michaels' security policies and standards.

* Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

* Develop and maintain relationships with cloud vendors, managing contracts, and ensuring Michaels receives the best possible support and services.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with a focus on enterprise retail or e-commerce.

* Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and experience with cloud-native services and tools.

* Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C#, and experience with containerization using Docker.

* Experience with DevOps tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Ansible, and knowledge of automation frameworks.

* Strong understanding of security principles and best practices, including data encryption, access control, and compliance.

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience with cloud security frameworks, such as AWS Well-Architected Framework or Microsoft Cloud Security Framework.

* Knowledge of cloud-based data analytics and machine learning platforms, such as AWS Lake Formation or Azure Machine Learning.

* Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift.

* Certification in cloud computing, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate.
