🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Security Architect for Verizon, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing cloud security solutions to protect our sensitive data and applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of our cloud infrastructure and compliance with industry regulations.

This role will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders, including our network and security teams, to identify and mitigate potential security risks. You will also be responsible for developing cloud security strategies and providing technical guidance to ensure the secure deployment and operation of cloud-based services.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement cloud security architectures to protect Verizon's sensitive data and applications

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential security risks

- Develop cloud security strategies and provide technical guidance to ensure secure deployment and operation of cloud-based services

- Conduct security assessments and testing of cloud-based applications and services

- Develop and maintain cloud security policies, procedures, and standards

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging threats to ensure Verizon's cloud security posture remains current and effective

- Provide technical expertise and support to help resolve cloud security-related incidents and issues

- Conduct security awareness training and education for Verizon employees and contractors working in cloud-based environments

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or related field

- Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud security, with a focus on designing and implementing cloud security architectures

- Proven track record of developing and implementing cloud security strategies and best practices

- Experience with cloud security platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

- Strong understanding of cloud security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities

- Experience with threat modeling, risk assessment, and mitigation

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or related field

- Cloud security certifications, such as CISSP or CISM

- Experience with cloud security automation tools, such as Cloud Security Gateways or Cloud Access Security Brokers

- Familiarity with cloud-based DevOps practices and automation tools

- Knowledge of cloud security regulations and compliance requirements, such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR

💰 WHAT WE OFFER
