šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cloud Security Engineer in our Mexico Financial Services team, you'll play a critical role in securing our cloud infrastructure and applications. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and monitor security controls to protect our valuable assets. You'll report to our Information Security Manager and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the security posture of our cloud environment.
You'll be responsible for developing and enforcing cloud security policies, procedures, and standards to align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. You'll also conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential threats. Your expertise will help us maintain a robust and secure cloud infrastructure that supports our business growth and customer trust.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement cloud security controls to protect sensitive data and applications.
- Develop and enforce cloud security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security posture of our cloud environment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with cloud service providers to ensure compliance with security requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging threats, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and provide security training and awareness programs for our teams.
- Participate in incident response efforts to mitigate the impact of security breaches.
- Develop and maintain documentation of security controls, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with our security operations team to monitor and respond to security events.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security, security engineering, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty or equivalent experience.
- Experience with cloud security frameworks, such as NIST or ISO 27001.
- Knowledge of cloud security controls, including identity and access management, network security, and data encryption.
- Experience with cloud service providers, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience with cloud-based security tools, such as CloudWatch or CloudTrail.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.
- CISSP, CISM, or CEH certification.
- Experience with DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud-based identity and access management solutions.
- Experience with cloud-based security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

We offer a competitive salary range of MXN 500,000 - MXN 800,000 per year, plus additional benefits, including health insurance, a retirement plan, and 15 days of paid vacation per year. We also provide a learning and development budget of MXN 100,000 per year to support your growth and professional development.
