🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Cloud Security Operations Center Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud-based infrastructure. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain cloud security controls, monitor security threats, and develop incident response plans. You will report directly to the Cloud Security Engineering Manager and will be responsible for identifying and mitigating security risks in our cloud environment. Your contributions will have a significant impact on the overall security posture of our organization.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design and implement cloud security controls using industry-leading tools and technologies

- Monitor cloud security threats and develop incident response plans to mitigate risks

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cloud security compliance with regulatory requirements

- Develop and maintain cloud security policies and procedures

- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement

- Develop and implement training programs to educate teams on cloud security best practices

- Work with IT operations teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud security controls

- Collaborate with incident response teams to respond to security incidents

- Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud security trends and technologies

- Develop and implement cloud security roadmaps to ensure long-term security and compliance

- Develop and maintain relationships with cloud security vendors and partners

- Provide support and guidance to other teams on cloud security-related matters

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field

- 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, operations, or architecture

- In-depth knowledge of cloud security controls, security information and event management (SIEM) systems, and cloud security gateways

- Experience with cloud security frameworks, such as NIST and CIS

- Strong understanding of cloud security regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

- Experience with cloud security tools, such as AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and CloudFormation

- Knowledge of cloud security technologies, such as virtual private clouds (VPCs), security groups, and subnetting

- Ability to analyze complex security data and identify security risks

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field

- 10+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, operations, or architecture

- Experience with cloud security automation tools, such as Ansible and AWS CloudFormation

- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Jenkins

- Experience with cloud security compliance frameworks, such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001

- Strong understanding of cloud security trends and emerging technologies

- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and provide technical guidance on cloud security matters

- Experience with cloud security training and awareness programs

- Strong understanding of cloud security architecture and design patterns

- Experience with cloud security threat intelligence and incident response

- Knowledge of cloud security compliance requirements for various industries, such as finance and healthcare

- Experience with cloud security testing and validation methodologies

- Strong understanding of cloud security governance and risk management

- Ability to analyze complex security data and identify security risks

- Experience with cloud security monitoring and logging tools, such as ELK Stack and Splunk

- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and guidelines, such as those provided by the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA)

- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
