π― ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect our clients' most sensitive and valuable assets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security threats, develop and implement security protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This role reports directly to our Cybersecurity Manager and will have a significant impact on the overall security posture of our organization.
π KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement advanced threat detection and prevention solutions, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and antivirus software.
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with our Incident Response team to investigate and respond to security incidents, including data breaches and system compromises.
- Develop and implement security awareness training programs for employees, customers, and partners.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies, and advise our clients on best practices for cybersecurity.
- Collaborate with our Engineering team to design and develop secure solutions for our clients' most complex problems.
- Implement and manage access control systems, including multi-factor authentication and role-based access control.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures, including data classification, data destruction, and incident response.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners to understand their security needs and provide tailored solutions.
β REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification.
- Experience with threat detection and prevention solutions, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and antivirus software.
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems, including Splunk or ELK.
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM) systems, including multi-factor authentication and role-based access control.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks and regulations, including NIST and HIPAA.
β PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field.
- CISSP-ISSAP or CISM certification.
- Experience with cloud-based security solutions, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with security automation and orchestration tools, including Ansible or SaltStack.
