šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Digital Inventory Management Specialist at Marshalls, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management systems. You will be responsible for analyzing inventory levels, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams, including logistics, procurement, and sales, to ensure seamless execution of inventory management strategies. This role exists to improve the overall customer experience by providing the right products in the right quantities at the right time.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
. Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records across multiple warehouses and distribution centers. Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve fill rates. Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely and efficient receipt and distribution of merchandise. Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions to improve inventory management. Work with the procurement team to negotiate with vendors to improve inventory accuracy and reduce costs. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as 3PL providers and vendors. Monitor and report on inventory levels, including creating and analyzing reports to identify areas for improvement. Support the development and implementation of business continuity plans to ensure seamless inventory management during disruptions. Maintain accurate records and reports, including creating and submitting regular reports to management.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or a related field. Proven track record of success in improving inventory accuracy, reducing costs, and improving fill rates. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with inventory management software, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
. Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Certification in inventory management, such as CSCP or CLTD. Experience working in a retail or e-commerce environment. Familiarity with cloud-based inventory management systems. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time, including overnight trips.
