π― ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Dollar Store Inventory Optimization Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal management and control of inventory levels across all Dollar Tree locations. Reporting directly to the Inventory Optimization Manager, you will be responsible for analyzing sales trends, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing strategies to minimize stockouts and overstocking. Your work will have a direct impact on the overall profitability and efficiency of the company, making this a unique opportunity to make a difference in the retail industry. As a Specialist, you will have the chance to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including store operations, logistics, and supply chain, to drive business growth and excellence.
π KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and minimize costs.
Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
Collaborate with store operations teams to implement changes in inventory management processes and procedures.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate better pricing and service agreements.
Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure compliance with company standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
Monitor and report on key inventory metrics, including stock levels, turnover rates, and fill rates.
Develop and implement plans to minimize stockouts and overstocking, resulting in reduced costs and improved customer satisfaction.
β REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of experience in inventory management or a related field.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Proven ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with inventory management software and systems.
β PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience working in the retail industry, particularly in inventory management or a related role.
Certification in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Fluency in Spanish.
Experience with data analytics tools and software.
