🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Kroger Supply Chain Manager — Cross-Border Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing cross-border logistics and supply chain operations for Kroger's Mexico division. You will work closely with the global supply chain team to ensure seamless execution of cross-border shipments, negotiate with vendors, and implement process improvements. You will report directly to the Director of Supply Chain Operations and will have a significant impact on the growth and success of Kroger's Mexico business.
📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage cross-border logistics and supply chain operations for Kroger's Mexico division, including negotiating with vendors, managing shipments, and implementing process improvements.
Develop and maintain relationships with cross-border logistics providers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
Implement and maintain effective supply chain metrics and analytics to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
Manage and optimize transportation costs and develop strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Collaborate with the global supply chain team to align cross-border operations with global supply chain strategies and goals.
Analyze market trends and economic conditions to identify opportunities for growth and improvements.
Develop and maintain training programs for supply chain personnel to enhance skills and knowledge.
✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations management in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, and operations management, including transportation management, inventory management, and warehousing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with vendors and regulatory agencies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
Experience working in a retail or food retail industry, with a focus on cross-border operations and logistics.
Certification in supply chain management or logistics, such as CPIM or CLTD.
Fluency in Spanish language, with the ability to read, write, and speak fluently.
Experience with supply chain software and tools, such as SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates.
