🎯 ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Senior Cloud Migration Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving our company's cloud-first strategy by designing, implementing, and managing large-scale cloud migrations for our datacenter consolidation projects. You will report directly to our Director of Cloud Services and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions. Your success will directly impact our ability to reduce costs, improve scalability, and enhance overall IT efficiency.

📋 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and implement cloud migration strategies for complex datacenter consolidation projects.

Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud migration processes and procedures.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key business requirements and technical dependencies.

Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for cloud migration.

Design and implement cloud security and compliance controls for sensitive data.

Develop and execute testing plans to ensure seamless application deployment in cloud environments.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize cloud infrastructure configuration and resource allocation.

Develop and present detailed technical reports and recommendations to senior leadership.

✅ REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud computing, with a focus on migration and datacenter consolidation.

Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), with experience in designing and implementing large-scale cloud architectures.

Strong knowledge of cloud security and compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR).

Excellent communication and project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.

⭐ PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Certification in cloud computing (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Developer).

Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.

Familiarity with cloud-based DevOps tools (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation).
