π― ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Data Governance Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across our German operations. You will report directly to the Director of Data Management and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive data governance initiatives. This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to develop and implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
π KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify data quality issues and develop solutions to improve data accuracy and completeness.
* Design and implement data quality control processes to ensure data consistency and integrity across systems and applications.
* Conduct data audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans.
* Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on data governance policies and procedures.
* Collaborate with IT teams to ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Develop and maintain data governance metrics and analytics to measure data quality and compliance with policies and procedures.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data governance and apply knowledge to improve data management capabilities.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and implement data governance roadmaps and strategic plans.
* Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure compliance with data governance policies and procedures.
β REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 7+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, or a related field.
* Master's degree in a related field such as business administration, computer science, or information technology.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
* Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Experience with data quality control processes, data security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data governance issues.
* Experience with data governance metrics and analytics, with the ability to develop and maintain reports.
β PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Certification in data governance, data quality, or a related field.
* Experience with data governance tools and technologies such as Collibra, Talend, or Informatica.
* Strong knowledge of data governance policies and procedures in the healthcare industry.
* Experience with data security frameworks such as HIPAA or GDPR.
* Strong understanding of data quality control processes and data security best practices.
