šÆ ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior GPU Architect ā Autonomous Systems will be responsible for designing and developing next-generation GPU architectures for autonomous systems. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, system architects, and product managers, to ensure that GPU architectures meet the needs of our customers and partners. The Senior GPU Architect will report to the Director of GPU Architecture and will have a significant impact on the development of NVIDIA's autonomous systems products.
š KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop next-generation GPU architectures for autonomous systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that GPU architectures meet the needs of our customers and partners. Develop and maintain complex technical specifications, including performance models, power consumption estimates, and thermal analysis. Work with software engineers to develop and integrate GPU drivers and system software. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in autonomous systems and GPU technologies. Conduct technical reviews and provide feedback on proposals and designs. Develop and deliver technical presentations and reports to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with product managers to define product requirements and roadmaps. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including whitepapers, technical notes, and product specifications.
ā REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
8+ years of experience in GPU architecture design and development. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Expertise in GPU architecture design, including GPU core design, memory hierarchy, and instruction-level parallelism. Experience with software development, including C++, Python, and Linux. Strong understanding of high-performance computing, including parallel processing, multi-threading, and cache hierarchy. Experience with simulation tools, including Verilog and SystemC. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience with technical documentation, including whitepapers, technical notes, and product specifications.
ā PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Experience with autonomous systems, including perception, mapping, and control. Expertise in deep learning, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs). Experience with autonomous vehicle simulation tools, including SimulationLab and CARLA. Familiarity with cloud computing, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban. Strong understanding of industry trends and developments in autonomous systems and GPU technologies.
